Families & referrals

A warm handoff, not a data dump.

The right referral protects dignity, choice, and timing. Three Pillars begins with a plain conversation and requests sensitive information only through an invited intake when appropriate.

For families & supporters

Support the person without speaking over them.

Learn what recovery housing can offer, what the person seeking a home will need to decide for themselves, and how to make a direct introduction.

For treatment & community partners

Coordinate the transition without oversharing.

Ask about intended fit, launch timing, documentation, and next steps. Do not send diagnoses, medication lists, or protected health information by regular email.

Discuss a referral

Four steps. One human decision.

  1. 01

    Start with fit and timing

Ask about the intended resident profile, launch timing, and whether a conversation makes sense.

  2. 02

    Connect with consent

The person seeking a home remains central. Coordinate a direct conversation without sending sensitive records by ordinary email.

  3. 03

    Review the real expectations

Discuss fees, house participation, policies, transportation needs, and transition timing before a decision.

  4. 04

    Keep the decision human

Staff review each situation individually. A referral never creates an automatic admission decision.

Privacy boundary

Begin with only what the next step requires.

The public contact form intentionally asks for basic contact and timing information. If a fuller screening is appropriate, staff can issue a time-limited intake invitation for confidential human review.
